The 50th US state, Hawaii, is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and was a perfect excuse to stop, adjust our watches and view some epic sunsets before heading to mainland USA. We chose to stay on Oahu’s west coast and truly make no plans except where to be for sunset. Long walks by lagoons, dips in the ocean and pools, poké and fresh-catch made our days amazing. The sunsets and hours after were colorful and memorable. Pineapples filled with alcoholic beverages, an amazing luau with hula dancing and ukulele jazz made the star-studded sky even more beautiful.
